# 12. Interoperability & Standards

LPP is designed to operate across heterogeneous AI, identity, authorization, policy, and execution environments without requiring adoption of the entire Mind Universe stack.

The interoperability objective is not:

```
Replace every existing protocol
with LPP.
```

It is:

```
Preserve portable authority,
intent,
admissibility,
and evidence semantics
across existing systems.
```

The canonical principle is:

> **LPP is a governance layer, not a transport replacement.**

Existing systems may continue to provide:

* agent communication,
* identity,
* authentication,
* authorization,
* capability delegation,
* policy evaluation,
* provenance,
* credential exchange,
* execution infrastructure,
* and audit storage.

LPP contributes a different question:

> **Does this specific AI-triggered action possess a valid, scoped, revocable, intent-consistent legitimacy basis before execution?**

The interoperability model can therefore be represented as:

```
External Identity / Credential Systems
        ↓
Principal Resolution
External Agent / Transport Protocols
        ↓
Task / Action Exchange
External Policy / Capability Systems
        ↓
Runtime Constraints
LPP Governance Objects
        ↓
Authority + Intent + Admissibility
Execution Infrastructure
        ↓
Governed Effect
Signed Evidence Systems
        ↓
Reconstruction
```

The goal is **composition**, not protocol replacement.
